What's 4 years between friends?

It's a difficult tug-of-war...I'm having to debate which is my favorite 70's pop / super group song, which has been prominently featured in a film in the last 5 years. It comes down to "Spill the Wine" by War or "I Don't Wanna Know" by Fleetwood Mac. "Spill the Wine" is obvious...I (and every other male) wants to be that guy in the song. And "I Don't Wanna Know" is the only song off Rumors that doesn't annoy you after 6 or 10 spins...in succession. One night, being the last table at the Cafe Metropole (RIP), the kitchen staff played said record and song 13 times for tear down and clean up. It just kept getting funnier. Not that I go to these places...but on Karaoke nights...why don't they have THOSE songs available to sing?

To continue...Engine Down (Saturday night show), from Richmond, Va. Good lads, keeping up the emo rock mysticism. With loud, chunk bass and sonic sadness - they were better than expected. Lyrics like "How can you honestly say that you’re content with me?" make you wonder if they're questioning their girlfriends', their parents' or their God. But going to these shows...I am realizing (like many others) that the performers are trying to out self-deprecate each other...even the crowd. Engine Down's guitarist / lead singer removed his sweater at the end of the set - revealing a white t-shirt with a hand-written plea..."Don't stab me." It would be clever if it didn't try so hard...
