You're a witch if I've ever known one...
What's 4 years between friends?

It's so good to see that other people are starting to gain knowledge of Cormac McCarthy. One of my Top 5 authors. Cities of the Plain is #8 on his list...which I can agree with. It's the continuing story of John Grady Cole from All the Pretty Horses. Excellent book and (despite many opinions) a good movie...not excellent, but good. Billy Bob is good as a director and Mr. McCarthy gave it his blessing...I thought it was true to the book. Then again...I kinda liked David Lynch's Dune too...so, go figure...

I will keep my Grammy nominations rant very short. There's no way...no way Wilco's "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" doesn't get nominated. Unbelievable. The only category that rescues my faith is Blues. I wish both Solomon Burke and the North Mississippi All-stars could win - but the nod goes to Mr. Burke. The All-stars will be back and Solomon Burke did write and sing "Cry to Me." Do what I do...print out the Grammy ballot, make two selections - one mark for who "will win" and a second for who "should win."

And, yes...I am going back to Savannah this weekend. Hope I remember it, when it's all over.
