The rumors are true...I am quickly coming up on AFF. After a few discussions and some research with those who have tried it - it's gonna be "Alcohol Free February"...AFF for those who like the acronyms. The first person (I know of) to participate in AFF was Herb Kelleher - after a meeting with his doctor. Legend has it...the doctor says "Herb...I know you love the Wild Turkey, but your liver is a mess. You have to give up drinking for a month." Herb replies with "Ok doc...can I pick the month?"

And I am convinced I do not have a drinking problem - I've got enough money, so it's not a problem (Thank you, David Lee). But I have never NOT drank and to me...that's not a good excuse. If I find that I am having a hard time after a couple of days...than I may re-think the "problem" bit. But right now...I think all's going to be well. My liver will thank me for the brief reprieve and I will look forward to a very happy Carnival - starting out with two Hey Mercedes shows in Madison and Chicago.
