I'm very happy to report that my Memphis favorites, The Bloodthirsty Lovers, have signed to Frenchkiss Records in NYC. I first saw the Lovers at The Young Avenue Deli, the same week as David Zollo at the Hi-Tone and the Beale Street Music Festival. In fact, after the Lovers set, the sky opened up (in the way that only happens down south) and rained all night.
