I'm convinced waiting for the first record is more exciting / nerve racking than Christmas or that first drink after Alcohol Free February.

After looking over the CMJ Music Fest listing, Pharoahe Monch was selected and played a set. Does no one remember "Simon Says"? or "Oh, No" with Mos Def and Nate Dogg? I know it sounds like I'm hatin' on him...but if an MTV backed show, two MCA releases and guest appearances on multiple records (including a pretty telling skit on De La's "AOI - Mosaic Thump" album) isn't enough for you to start and maintain a career...playing to the 34 and under "indie rock" crowd ain't gonna help much - and I like the guy and his flow. Then again, I liked Craig Mack too...and look where that got him.
I was gonna' rant a little about the delay of AOI - Part 3...but I've gotta get back to the positivo.

Vacation is still on: Savannah first, then over to France - with a lilywhite records listening party on Sunday, November 23rd in Paris at "le Mecano" near Oberkampf.
From Mr. Smarty pants: "In 1740, a French cow was found guilty of sorcery and hanged."
